Message #14242 of 18360  *NEW* To From Subject Date All saundrabeach   AL CAPONE'S YACHT 4/21/06, 11:16pm (Last Edited: 4/21/06, 11:20pm) Well...I have been trying like mad to sell or even donate my 76 foot yacht rumored to belong to Al Capone and actually used as a "rum runner" in the day. Have pictures of him fishing off the bow and other memorbilia aboard. It was built in 1925 by world renown builder, Ed Monk. Was originally built to take prisoners to Devil's Island, then a mail ship, hospital ship and a Pirate ship! People have died aboard. While we have a complete blast aboard it, I am afraid that I have been evicted from Ventura Village Harbor and there is not a slip anywhere along the Southern Clifornia coast with on e big enough. The Harbor master (new one) wants to use all the dock space for his own ventures. Sheese. Too bad really because I had great plans in forming a corporation and having murder mystery dinner theater and a bed and breakfast...drat! Oh, did I mention...It definitely is haunted and Richard Senate included it in his "Most Haunted Vessels of Ventura" on page 75 - 76. There have been seances aboard and some people that come on bioard have negative experiences and "run" off saying they will never come back. We have tourists coming aboard all the time, and experincing something. I have had my bed clothes lifted off of me, I do not feel afraid as I told the Ghosts, I was trying to save their home. My little dog is scared and sences their presence no doubt! I took a photo and there is a bright light above his head...YIKES It has been on the Travel Channel 11 times so far usually around Halloween. Anyway, I have been in the Daily Variety, The Ventura County Star newspaper and yesterday I was interviewed by a columnist from the leading newpaper in Las Vegas, The Review Journal. Yes, Chris, I put in a good word for you, lol... Tomorrow they are meeting me at the boat to take my picture! Imagine in the Paper...ME! Wheee. You can probably pull it up on the net. It will be in Monday. Mayor Oscar Goodman here in Vegas is trying to make a "mob" museum, and I am in the process of contacting him to donate it to this city.
