>For whatever reason you may have had a hidden ailment
>regarding your blood pressure or something else. No, I wouldn't call it a blessing in disguise. Not by a long shot. I've known about my hypertension since I was a kid. It's something I've dealt with all my life, and I've had it under control for the past 15 years. I test myself twice a day and know exactly how I'm doing at all times. My blood pressure didn't start to spike and go haywire until a few days after the accident. I'm more inclined to believe the accident caused the problem, or at least was the final nail in the oncoming anxiety attack, than anything else. I just don't have any proof of this because the doctors haven't said anything yet. In fact, they haven't even said it was an anxiety attack, even though the evidence so far seems to point in that direction.

No, I didn't. He told that to the E.R. doctor while talking to him on the phone. I didn't want to point out that I was eavesdropping. He is the doctor I'm supposed to have a follow-up exam with later this week, so if he brings it up then, I'll tell him.
