Happy 1st Birthday, AJ!

We celebrated AJ's 1st Birthday yesterday, 12/28, with his grandad, Robert, because they (Robert and AJ) have the same birthdate!

Today, we are having a little "kiddie" party for AJ at Chuck E. Cheese's! YAY!

Happy 1st Birthday, AJ!

Love,
Mommy, Daddy, Buddy and Jack

With lots of loud, screaming kids running around.

That is, if I'm remembering it correctly. It's been at least 25 years since I was in a Chuck E. Cheese. I don't even remember if the pizza was edible or not... lol

Okay... in Chuckie's defense, I would have to say that the pizza was pretty good. The Chuck E. Cheese's in Granada Hills was remodeled, and it looked really awesome! And I think they increase the quality of their pizza.

The place was bright and actually CLEAN!! Loud -- YES! Kiddies running around playing and screaming -- YES! But, all in all, the kiddies, and even the parents/adults had fun. Besides pizza, I ordered appetizers, like veggie plattie and buffalo wings.

But I have to admit, I don't think I'll have another birthday party there for another 4 to 5 years. It was just toooooo LOUD for AJ, and me, for that matter.

It was all worth it for AJ's 1st birthday party.

Thank you, all! Rob and I just can't believe that AJ has just turned 1 year-old. The time just flew by.

Sadly, that just means we're getting older at the same rate. ACK!

Yeah, more or less I was kidding...I just remember my nephew there for one of his early birthday parties....I always loved taking him there....He loved the characters so much because he was a huge Barney fan. Everytime I think of Chucky Cheese I smile remembering those days.

Yah, I was pretty surprised... a veggie plate at Chuck E. Cheese's? LOL... the pizza was serviceable and the environ was great for older kids.

The bill, on the other hand... I saw Marie with these bugged out eyes looking at the bill. I asked her if she was okay, and she responded: "Don't freak out."

Were this my idea, I would have been grounded for months!!!!!

Seriously, it was great fun. It was a special time for all of us... it is so amazing to watch A.J. grow... it is an honor to be called his Dad.

That's good to know, but I still don't plan on going back there until we have some grandkids, which I hope doesn't happen too soon!

It was a wonderful experience to spend my ACTUAL birthday and "the next day party, with Anthony.

He is an amazing , young child, made even more so with the love he is experiencing every day.

You are both so deserving in receiving the riches of parenthood, understanding that it takes love and utmost caring to attain, same.

I am SO proud of you Robbie, (the son who set the precedent for HIS brothers, to follow, )It is MORE than an honour to be called, YOUR Dad.

I love you always, Dad.

Thank you! And the cake was awesome! It was decorated with the "Cars" theme. It was made out of marble cake, vanilla custard filling and whipped cream icing. YUM!!!

I ate a piece of cake for ya!
