I forgot to mention that I was actually in a car wreck on Tuesday. No injuries fortunately for me or the other person involved. I was driving northbound on Allison Ave, which is only about a mile or so from my condo. The speed limit is 30 on that road. I was going 30 to 35. This old lady was coming off Liard St to my left. She stopped at the stop sign at The intersection of Liard & Allison as I proceeded down Allison at about the same speed. I saw that she had come to a stop. As I got real close to her, she all of the sudden just pulled right out in front of me, as if she didn't even see me. I had hardly anytime to break. My left front end nailed her car's right front end. Both of our cars suffered quiet a bit of damage. My car suffered a little more damage I believe.
As soon as the collision was over, I got out of mt car to check & see if the lady was okay. She said she was fine. She was in a bit of shock I guess. She said that was the first car wreck she had ever been involved in. She must have been about 70 years old. The state trooper(FHP) arrived at the scene & wrote out the report & she was given a ticket for failure to yield the right of way. Anyway, I'm driving around a rental car now for about a week & a half. My car is suppost to be finished with it's repairs on the 31st or 1st of Febuary. The insurance guy called me today & told me that the estimated damages to my vehicle totaled about $3800. Fortunately I have very good insurance. I'm actually only responsible for about $100 of that. My insurance is picking up the rest. I'm currently driving a 2007 Camry around. Not a bad rental car at all. For me this was my 2nd wreck. My first one happened when I was about 20. I rear ended somebody & did just some minor damage to that person's bumper. A fender bender you might say.
