I know I've been MIA for the last several weeks or months (memory clouded by age), but I'm still around. My new (single) way of living has opened all kinds of different avenues of adventure for me. I have managed to fill every minute of every hour or every day with some type of new type of activity. I thought about dating around and decided that that's not for me right now. It's nice to please me for a while instead of everyone else.Many of my activities are done alone. I let my Dad know where I'm going, how long I plan to be gone and hit the road or nearby lake. I'm in for a camping/fishing/boating trip next weekend with an old cop buddy and his son.
I met up with a guy I use to work with when I was about 25. He has retired and is into showing game fowl and building hotrod cars. He owns 2 drag race vehicles and has asked me to pilot one for him this year. I have started helping him on Friday's and Saturday's so I can re-learn what I use to know when I was a kid. He has agreed to help me build my ultimate dream car. A 1978 Chevrolet El Camino, orange with black racing stripes and black sidepipes.
Anyway, I dropped by to try to catch up, write a couple of post in the music and movies categories and hit the sack.
