I was very sorry to hear of his passing. Jon Miller announced it last night on Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN.

I only knew Skip from his Braves games on WTBS. He seemed like a very knowledgeable announcer and a great guy. It sounds like he took after his father, Harry, whom everyone said was an amazing person.

This leaves just Skip's son, Chip now to carry on the family business.

RIP Skip!

He got a lot of flack from "purist" folks who didn't like his "cheerleading" method of game announcement. I, for one, loved it. He will be missed.
