>..I have never cared for the Cadbury line of chocolates.
>Something about the taste doesn't sit well with me. Amazing how tastes are so different. It certainly has a lot to do ith how you grow up. My Dad, being a Brit... well, I was exposed to a lot of Cadbury... and, therefore, I LOVE IT.
On my mother's end of the food spectrum, she introduced me to a concoction called "Halvah." I am sure Larry is familiar, as it is a Jewish staple in much the same way a Challah or Maneschevitz wine (sp).
Halvah is a weird sesame-seed-based food. Soft texture... impossible to accurately describe. Get the chocolate covered version and, to me, (with an iced cold glass of milk) -- pure heaven.
Marie, on the other hand, thinks that Halvah tastes like an old shoe.
By the way, Larry... if you do know what I'm talking about (and I suspect you do), do you call it "Hal-UH-vah" like my family does? Where did that UH come from?
