New Korean BBQ

I don't know the name of the place, but I have been there twice now, once for dinner and once for lunch and I think I can recommend this place.

It is a new Korean BBQ place, on Reseda just south of Lassen and north of Plummer on the west side of the street. (Used to be a CoCo's)

As some of you know, Korean BBQ has a thing in the middle of the table to cook your food. This place was ultra clean, and the tables were MARBLE. Very nice. For our dinner, they not only had the main food that you cook, but they brought out like 9 or 10 OTHER things to eat as well! (KimChi, noodles, veggies, etc) Lots of food!

For lunch, THEY cooked it, but I had a great beef thing that was more than enough food.

Lunch was about 14 bucks per person and that was with the tip. Dinner is..well..more.

Bummer..no sushi is offered. But, they DID have a raw fish dish, AND they have something similar to Shabu Shabu where there is a boiling bowl of chicken stock at your table and you add ingredients to it then eat away. (The chicken stock becomes a soup with all those flavors mixed in!)

I'll go back.....

Wow this restaurant sure sounds like a winner. I will definitely go there...

Robbie might not, as I remember when he had this type of food and mistakenly used the same chop sticks from the raw meat to eat with. He was soooo sick for days. Gotta be careful about that...

What's that smelly cabbage like stuff that is awful, but lots of people eat it. It smells rancid, Can't remember the name.

It's called Kim Chi, and I love it! At times when I don't feel like eating heavy, I just eat a little bit of hot rice, some dried seaweeds and Kim Chi... YUM! Yeah... Rob thinks I'm crazy too.

Kim-chi. I have had kim-chi in many forms, made by many people..and even the "best" is tough sometimes.

Kim Chi on the breath beats garlic any day of the week. So, I suppose it is when Marie is most definitely not in the mood, she'll bring a jar of this stuff out.
