Cruise ship food -- 24/7!!!

Wow! One of the great things about going on a cruise is the food. You have the choice of traditional dining (where you choose a set time to eat), anytime dining or buffet. We chose anytime dining, but often ate at the buffet.

Let me just tell you that if Rob and I didn't go on excursions everyday during our cruise, we would have gained 1 pound a day!We also ate desert every lunch and dinner!! It was the ultimate fine dining. I'm happy to say that I didn't gain an ounce. YAY!

Their food quality was fantastic, and we were served hand and foot.

Now, it's back to the old "what do you want to eat for dinner tonight, hun?" We just went to Costco to fill-up our fridge with some goodies.

Has anyone gone on a cruise here? How was your dining or overall experience?

Janice and I have been on several cruises (mostly to Mexico) and the food has always been great and way too plentiful.

We've found that limiting ourselves to no snacks and small breakfasts and lunches helps. Along with taking the stairs on the ship instead of the elevators.

We love crusing!!!!!

BTW: Which ship were you guys on?

We were on The Grand Princess. It was beautiful! Last November, when we went on the Mexican Riviera cruise, we rode The Sapphire Princess (a newer ship). Both ships were very similar. The Sapphire Princess was a little bit bigger in size.

The Grand Princess was a great ship. I sure could use some of those late night desserts (well, not my waistline.... but definitely my tummy).
