No eating out month

OK, I think I can honestly say..I have done it! I make dinner tonight, tomorrow night my parents are coming to take us out..which makes an entire month that we did not buy (ourselves anyway) dinner out in any way shape or form!!

No In-N-Out, no pizza, no sushi, no chinese food...I did the entire month of cooking dinner (with the exception of being bought a couple of dinners by the parents).

I can say..I am a little proud of myself too. I am also VERY tired of this and want to go out Sunday for a nice meal. Maybe Danny.

Amazing... you didn't "cheat" at all with a "sandwich night?" During a month long period of no going out (which is the single thing that I am not looking forward to once Marie and I have a kid in the home), I guarantee you that we will have a number of "sandwich nights" and "Costco-bought" rotisserie and pizza nights...

Nope..not a single cheat went on! Tonight my parents are coming over so, I made the last meal of the month that I have to make, last night!! Woo Hoo!!

BTW, last night we had a "fry-up" for dinner. Sausage, bacon, tomato and eggs! A wonderful ending!!

Of course..I have to go back to it on Monday night.....I am thinking...brisket.

(I have to mention this here...I get most of my meats at Smart & Final and the other day I went to a Ralph's and they were selling brisket so I checked out the price. On sale, at Ralphs, the per pound price was DOUBLE that of Smart & Final's everyday price!! Of course, at S&F you have to buy a big slab of meat, but my freezer loves the company.)

That's good to know Bill. Do you ever buy meat at COSTCO? Is it comparable to S&F?

I even have a business Costco card that let's me get in "early"..but I hardly ever go there. Not sure why..

Awhile back I compared prices are Costco and S&F and they were real darn close on the stuff that they both carried. And at S&F, you don't have the long lines and people buying truckloads of stuff in the line in front of you.

I really don't have anything against Costco though..maybe next week, I will run down there instead. S&F always seems to be out of chicken.....

Without Costco, I'm not sure what Marie and I would do... We go there almost weekly... and a lot of our home decoration is Costco-bought.

You go to which one? On Tampa?
