I can email him but guaranteed he won't be there. He still suffers from that travel phobia. We were talking about that just the other day. Never saw anything like it. We got him up the canyon about 2 miles on our motorcycles and he stopped by the side of the road and just froze! This is a strappin young guy in great shape yet his hands were glued to the handle bars and he was having trouble breathing. We got him turned around and he headed for home.

We'll be at your house on Friday salad in hand.

OK, I JUST heard from Mister Barr. He is not too sure of his schedule..he said they are giving him wacky hours..but he will "try" to make it this friday.

Now, where IS my recipe for bird-nest soup?

Hi, Guys,

My mom is coming in from Palm Desert this weekend to celebrate her 85th Birthday. The only night we can get together is Friday as Janice has a class on Saturday night and I am working again on Sunday.

In addition to that, I've come down with some sort of cold/respiratory infection and I am hoping I'll feel better by Friday night. I've just gotten too run down with work...This is the third weekend in a row I am working and these have all been big trips and lots of OT...all with no pay or comp time of course These have all been huge trips and this Sunday is also a big one.

I am very sorry and I hope you all understand.

Hi, Bill,

Thanks. I feel so yucky that I've talked my mom into coming over for dinner instead of going out. That's about the best I can muster right now. Work has been so bloody awful, I am sure the stress is what gave me the cold.

How about we make a date to make that dip for ya? Maybe in July?

But...if he's there we can't talk about him...Hehehe Just kidding. Missed you Larry. We had a very nice evening. Maries lasagna was to die for and the Macaw Lonnie brought was awesome.
You'd have to be there to understand.

Thanks for opening up your home for this Bill. Lets do it again soon. Maybe have you all come here.

I missed all youse guys too!

Yep, let's plan on something to do all together this summer...maybe a beach day?

I'm feeling a bit better today, though Matt, who also has it had to take his SAT today at El Camino. Hopefully, feeling rotten didn't hurt his score. He also has finals right now too.

Basically, we are both trying not to give this to Janice.

Sounds neat. I was in bed by 9:30, so I probably wouldn't have been much fun if I had gone.

Great to hear it was a good time.

I like the idea of getting together again..but I have to admit that even though I ride along the pacific every week..I am not much of a beach person.

I have to say as well that after the food was eaten, we spent quite a bit of time just sitting around the table and shooting the breeze. I liked that..a LOT!

Even my wife commented that it seemed so "family".

I don't remember the exact time, but it was around 9ish. Maybe just a tiny bit after.

BTW, I'm not a beach person, either.

Thanks, Rob.

It was the second time for Matt taking the SAT. He got a decent score the first time, but there is no penalty for taking the exam multiple times, and they take the highest scores in each area, so it really can't hurt to take it again.

Matt's looking at Univ of Michigan, Univ of Illinois, SDSU or U of Oregon. He really wants UCLA, but there are many factors against it. Mainly, they don't offer his major (Kineseology) and the dorm rooms are a joke. They squeeze three students into a room made for one. The room is about the size of a small bathroom. Also, he's not keen on attending classes with 400+ other students.

Plus, their basketball team SUCKS! Looks like he is taking that into possible consideration... LOL.

I can't believe that he's getting ready for college.

Its the study of how the human body moves. How muscles work and interact, etc.

The only time I heard of kineseology before was I remember that Mike Marshall, the 1974 Cy Young Winner with the Dodgers has B.S. and M.S. degrees in it. He's probably teaching somewhere now.

Nope, actually, he wants to coach basketball. The science degree may help him get a leg up as he is not a great player. He also wants to be a high school counselor.
