A hike impossible to do in one day?

Bob Burd is one of California's hiker extraordinaires. He and two others recently day hiked to the top of Black Kaweah, a summit that is rarely climbed due to its remoteness and difficulty. It's not as tall as Whitney, but much further away from any trailhead, and thus was considered by many to be impossible to hike to the top of and back in just one day. Well, they did it, and it required 19 hours of hard hiking. On the top they found a summit register dating back to 1924 with some very famous names on it such as Norman Clyde and Pete Starr. Anyway, I thought I'd share the link to his fabulous trip report and photos
