For the legions of people who don't want to get old (or at least don't to look old), there's skin screams, pills, and countless other products that claim to help stop or slow the aging process. Coming this fall, a Wisconsin-based company is set to release a dietary supplement with the same goal -- only this product is a little different. Namely, it's made from jellyfish proteins. The key is aequorin, a protein found in the sea-dwellers that helps them retain calcium. The company says that -- because people lose the ability to make calcium-binding proteins as they get older -- this jellyfish supplement is exactly what they need. Essentially, it will thwart the aging process by maintaining the calcium balance in cells. That's the theory, anyway. As with any of these products -- even ones that seem based on a logical approach -- the real question is: will it work?
