Our agency tells us that around the country, activity at agencies has slowed to a crawl. People in unintended pregnancies are choosing to parent in a much higher proportion than they did pre 9/11. As the number of potential birthmothers shrinks, the waiting pool at our agency swells. Our counselors theorize there is now this collective need we have to be connected to something greater than ourselves.
