This is one of my favorite passages in the Bible, and one that I try to remember and apply to my life:

11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.

Paul's letters are so incredibly inspiring. While I differ substantially with Christian dogma that says that all of the Bible is infallible (primarily because I think Paul might have mixed some of his own opinions -- and why not... these were his letters), when he writes to lift up Christians, he shines.

This is just one of many wonderful examples.

Speaking of Paul, I really liked Johnny Cash's novel on Paul called, "Man in White". You wouldn't think that Cash would be an intriguing writer, but the book was excellent. I figured if Billy Graham liked it (He wrote a good review of it), well, he should know better than I
