Just posting this up for the worship team at my church... I added effects to my voice to make the flats and sharps palatable...

I wrote this with Marie over the weekend, and recorded it quickly this morning.

"There For Me"
By Rob and Marie Reed

(capo 3rd fret)

[verse 1]

C2 G/B D/F# G
Hear my voice when I call Oh Lord (ps 27:7)
C2 G/B D/F# G
Show Your Mercy when my heart seeks you
C2 G/B D/F# G
I'm confident in this, it's true
                          C2 G/B
That When I wait for you Lord
                            D/F# G
You give me strength anew

[verse 2]

I've been slowed by the pains of this life
But you're there when my heart seeks You
My confidence I do find in You
For When I pray to You Lord
You give me hope anew

chorus
D
Praise be to the Lord (ps 28:6)
                                Em7
He has heard my cry (echo: for mercy is the gift he brings for all)
D
The Lord is my strength
                         Em7 Am
And so shall I die (echo: to be born again by His side)
                                              D/F#
To be born again by his side

[verse 3]

You lift me when I'm run down
By your grace, I can trust in You
My confidence is in this, it's true
That when I bow to my King
He gives me life anew

[chorus 2]

D
Praise be to the Lord (ps 28:6)
                                Em7
He has heard my cry (echo: for mercy is the gift he brings for all)
D
The Lord is my strength
                         Em7
And so shall I die (echo: to be born again by His side)

D
Praise be to the Lord
                              Em7
On His wings I'll fly (echo: He died so that we may still live)
D
In Him I find peace
                                                Em7 Am
Though my faith has been tried (echo: restored by the lamb who had died)
                                                          D/F#
Restored by the lamb who had died

[bridge]

Am D/F#
Shouts of joy and victory (ps 118:15)
                                    G D/F# Em7
resound from the mouths of the righteous
Am D/F#
The Lord's mighty right hand
                                    G D/F# Em7
lifts us from the depths of despair
Am D/F#
You are always there (echo: You are always there)
G D/F# Em7
You are always there (echo: You are always there)
Am D/F#
You are always there
          G
For me

[chorus]

D

D/F# (ring out; and all out but guitar)
