Exxon Profits
10/8/05, 12:05pm (Last Edited: 10/8/05, 12:06pm)

This was taken from a Boston Herald article date 9/7/05

Oil companies came under new fire yesterday when it emerged that ExxonMobil's profits are likely to soar above $10 billion this quarter on the back of the fuel crisis.

That's $110 million a day, and more net income than any company has ever made in a quarter.

At least somebody is making the most of the high gas prices. All of this at a time when people are being prosecuted for price gouging. Hmmmm?

On a similiar note...We toured an oil museum, in Santa Paula, close by our house last weekend. It was Union Oils headquarters at the turn of the century. Got to look at their handwritten bookkeeping system. They were paying out like 50 cents a day to their laborers and it showed them making...sometimes a $1,000 A WEEK in profit.

Nothin new happening now.......
