It is Bush resorting to the "Gay marriage issue" again.

Just when you thought it was all but forgotten, here it comes again! Expect to see the issue on a number of swing state ballots in the coming voting season next November.

So, with the repubs all screwed up, you would think that the Demos would be having a party!!

..but...sadly..the Demos can't seem to get their act together! The best that they have done for the past few years is try to put down Bush..which is easy! The Demos need to find what they stand for and what issues are important to them as well as the american public.

My feeling is that the people don't like Bush...but unless the Demos do SOMEthing..then ol Jeb Bush is gonna be part of the family legacy!

And speaking of the Dems, these two ding dongs that are running on the Demo ticket for Gov of Calif are a waste of time! Is this the best that the Demo party of Calif. can do???

This is what is wrong with our political system! The 2 party system doesn't really work. Democrats & Republicans constantly are at each other's throats & nothing ever gets done because they can only agree to disagree which leads to a lot of filabusters in the White House when a bill is trying to be passed. I got news for you. Even though Bush has not been a good President overall, it's not going to get much better no matter who we have as President(Republican or Democrat). Too many issues going on in the world & our own country to please everybody. Someone or group will always throw their hands up in the air & protest & scream bloody murder & cry foul.

You know I tend to agree with you... Quite frankly I do not see the difference between Democrats and Rupublicans any more...

At least we still have the old "checks and balances". Hope they can balance better than my checkbook...lol L)

Oh, I couldn't agree with you more! The DemoPublicans all seem to have deep pockets attached to "political investors". I think that is why I like the mutants out there..Arnold and Jerry Brown and such. What is so scary about the two party "system" right now is that I think that one party is better organized..and THAT is scary!

I totally agree BBlast! Wouldn't it be cool if Arnold or Jesse(Ventura) ran for President? Why not? Is there anybody better out there?

What bothers me the most is that there are so many people out there in our country who just can't see the manipulation... I just might vote for a Republican if the Democrats did this AS BLATANTLY.

Certainly, this issue would be more "acceptable" (i.e., believable as a legitimate Bush issue) if he followed through with it since the last election (which he hasn't)... and he doesn't have a new conflict to blame his lack of attention.

What happened to Immigration reform?

Oh, that's right. It is an ELECTION year.

Expect the immigration reform to pass sometime in mid November.

LOL!! So true. In our house, we can tell when it's an election year when we start receiving "Newsletters" from our Congressman telling us what a wonderful job he is doing in DC

Anyone else see the revisiting of the same sex marriage issue as a way to placate conservatives who may be at odds with the President's view on amnesty for illegals?

With all of the failures of the Bush Administration (i.e., largest debt in our country's history, largest deficit, highest loss of jobs in decades, the WMD search in Iraq) and President Bush's failure to acknowledge any mistakes (other than his selection of appointees who ended up attacking his administration), I think the tide of this country was directing towards a certain Bush loss.

Any one miss Gore or Kerry now?

I do!

Whether they could of or would have done better it sure would have been differently.
