Personally, I don't care for any of them, but if I had to choose 1 of the 3, I would lean towards McCain. I'm just afraid if Obama or Hillary becomes President, taxes are going to skyrocket. If I were running for President, my main platform or stance would be that we need to go to a flat tax system. Too many Americans are paying way too much income tax & getting screwed by the IRS. But by the same token, there are a lot of Americans using far too many loop holes to avoid paying taxes. Why not just make every single working American automatically pay 5 to 10 percent of what they make annually. I would actually eliminate a lot of tax deductions, but I would also get rid of the tax bracket system. If you make 100 grand, you give the IRS 10 grand, no more, no less. If you make 30 grand, you give the IRS 3 grand. If you make 2 million, you give the IRS 200 grand. If you make 15 grand, you give the IRS 15 hundred dollars. I would exclude anyone making 5 grand or less a year from having to pay taxes as long as they can prove they made less than 5 grand.
Think about it, if the government was getting 10 percent of what everybody makes, that would be more than enough money for the government to function & implement more funding for governmental programs that can go towards great causes. Moreover, I believe this would actually stimulate the economy. People would have more money to spend on capitalism & feed into the economy. People could probably save more money. It would save a ton of confusion as well if it was just made a law that everyone must pay 10 percent of their annual income to the IRS, in which a certain percentage of that can go towards social security. No one should ever be required or forced to pay more than 10 percent. This way, you reep what you sow. People who are lazy & sit on their ass & rely of govermental checks & wel fare because they are simply too lazy to go find a job would have to unless they choose to somehow survive off making less than 5 or 10 grand a year. The only exceptions to the rule should be for people who are disabled & physically can't work. For them there should still be some type of governmental help or aid. In summery about the taxes, the 10 percent that the government gets from everyone should be more than enough to run & finance the country. The only tax deduction I would still allow is the interest paid yearly on mortgages by home owners & maybe milage put on your vehicle. I believe a flat tax would not only allow the government to function more comfortably, but it would also allow Americans to do more with their hard earned money & I do believe it would stimulate the economy a great deal. Tax brackets should be completely eliminated.
Some other issues I would somehow push or try to enforce as President is illegal immigration. We must have strict immigration laws & they should & must be enforced. Too many hard working American citizens(who are legal in this country) are the ones suffering because we are the ones funding programs for the illegal immigrants who are not paying taxes. Atleast probably 90 something percent of the illegal immigrants are not paying taxes. American citizens are funding illegal immigration costs & expenses. I have no problem with immigration or immigrants being in this country as long as they go through the legal processes to get here & become legalized. I don't think that is being insensitive.
I really have no opinion on the war, either way. I have always been kind of split down the middle on that issue.
In summery, flat tax & much stricter on illegal immigration.
