There is the old joke that when you are trying to get out of jury duty, just say you don't like a certain race of folks or that you don't like a certain type of person... that is, just look like Mr. Intolerant.

And, that is always the manner that it is conveyed (even by me when someone asks me)... in a joking tone.

Well, this guy took it seriously, and he now faces perjury charges.

I've only been summoned for jury duty a couple times. I was excused both times. Waste of a day for me, but I suppose it is necessary..
