Some California law-making geniuses have come up with this bright idea. Give 14-16 year olds the right to vote. 14 year olds get a 1/4 vote. 16 year olds get a 1/2 vote.

I think a better law would be to give a half vote to adults who don't read the propositions booklet, or worse, do like my stepmother once did and not vote for Hubert Humphrey simply because she thought he looked like a turtle!

We don't need to give a half a vote..from the turnout numbers, most eligible voters don't bother anyway!

But the idea of giving the vote to kids is silly. Of course, maybe SpongeBob would make a great President...

Imagine the method of enforcing this... voir dire for voters!

Forget SpongeBob... imagine the kind of money we'd have to shell out in property tax dollars and assorted taxes to pay for every school improvement measure that hits the ballot...

Even when I was 18, I never voted my pocketbook 'cuz I didn't have to pay for anything I was voting for (then, that is).

Really dumb idea... and the folks who suggested it should be immediately fired.

It's clear to me that the primary motivation is to get the kids of illegals (who are legal citizens) into the voting rolls to vote YES on things like "driver's licenses for all."

Yeah! Voting sucks! It's too much trouble.
