This summer I got to take a trip to North Carolina to Tsali Recreation area. Did some Mountain Biking, whitewater rafting, hiking and of course some photography. I saw about seven bears. I was excited about the photos I took until I got them downloaded and reviewed the shots. Not one shot came out to my satisfaction. I was tremendously disappointed. Now that I am down with my Achilles injury and surgery I have taken the time to revisit these shots. Using some techniques I have experiemented with lately I have turned some of these shots into some unique art. The photography was horrible due to lighting and trying to photograph a dark moving subject in low light canopy covered areas.....but what I have been able to do to salvage the shots I am kind of proud of the results. Some of this especially the first two images I will post remind me of the Spirit Wolf shot some of you remember from several years ago from the Brooks Range of Alaska. --------------------------------------------------------
