American Idol's Sanjaya

Sanjaya rocks! This young man has more guts and personality than most I have known!

It is not easy to accept constant criticism and mean spirited mocking. This guy smiles all through it and keeps on.

He does look like he is having a great time. He will make money after all too.

He reminds me of a young Michael Jackson, but don't think he can move Jackson like...

Go Sanjaya!

Sanjaya definately has some spunk. I'll give him that. He reminds of a cross between Micheal Jackson & Prince. Problem: He can't move like Micheal & he can't rock like Prince. Sanjaya needs to go for shock factor. He doesn't have the voice like some of the other contestants do, but he does have personality.

I watched tonight & I thought the best performances was from Jordin, Melinda, & Phil. I thought Richard & Sanjaya stunk it up tonight. But, that's just my opinion.

Hi Doc... I know Simon and his $$$$$$$$$ must feel he is above reproach, and is being paid to be a "smuck" basically at times.

Where does he get off blaming Sanjaya for the show's plan to let America pick their American Idol?

Last night he showed NO CLASS IMO...

I still admire the young Sanjaya that appears other than the above photo to take the verbal abuse. He is NOT to blame for his longevity.

Simon you need a time out!

>Last night he showed NO CLASS IMO...

I agree. He was blaming Sanjaya for the groundswell effort to get Sanjaya to go farther. Sanjaya has amazing guts, and I greatly admire the kid, but he can't control a vote. Paula, Randy AND SIMON put this kid up, so they obviously saw something.

All he did was go out there and sing with some funny hair styles. Personally, I thought he got a bad rap because of some bad song choices at the start.

He can most definitely sing. It is his age and stage presence that holds him back.

WHICH, is exactly why I believe that Jordin should win this whole thing now. She is the whole package and, at 17, she is only going to get better.

Lakisha has shown to me in recent weeks that, while she is an excellent singer, she doesn't have the superstar chops. Melinda has the chops, but she doesn't have the star appeal that I believe Jordin is gaining.

Jordin should win this.

We agree about Sanjaya. Guess what, Eddie just told me that Sanjaya has been invited to the White House today. Now he has arrived to a stature many of us will never know.

Good for him, I say. If Diana Ross takes him under wing, as she really seemed to like him, he will be ok.
I think we haven't seen the last of him!

Jason and I are for Jordin too. We love her talent and glorious smile. 17 and wow! She gets better every week, and is getting comfortable with the stage etc.

Melinda needs a dose of confidence which she is working on. I like Blake too.

Lakisha was great first week and that's about all IMO. No star quality. She was shocked noticeably when she was in bottom with Sanjaya.

Last year was so much more fun and interesting.

Did you catch any of "You're the One That I Want?" about the Grease try outs. Those kids really have talent! Wow. You can pull them up on net.
