I used to not like American Idol, but I have become a bit hooked on it the past 2 seasons. I still thought Melinda should have won it last season. I like the rocker this season with the long hair & the bandana. That Micheal Johns guy is pretty darn good to. On the women's side, I'm pulling for the girl who made it a couple of seasons ago but couldn't paricipate in the contest because her visa had expired. On the guys side, I like the guy who played the electric guitar this past week. I believe his last name is Cook, He is the rocker guy. I still like the Micheal Johns guy also. I know everyone likes Archuleta(the young kid), especially the girls. He does have the best voice out of everyone, but I just can't bring myself to pull for him. I also like David Hernandez, Michael Johns and David Cook (the rocker) On the girls side, I like Carly, Ramiele (the Filipina chick) and Syesha. I'm pulling for Archuletta, though. His vocals are too good. He picks the right song choices for him & his style. I wonder how he will perform though when he has to do something that might be uncomfortable for him? I guess the same could be said for Cook(without his guitar), Hernandez, & Johns. I'm pulling for Cook & Johns. On the women's side, my favorite is Carly. On another note, going back to last season, I believe Melinda had the best overall package, as far as vocals, style, & performance, & she didn't win. I still think she should have won! It is suppost to be released around June or July from what I understand. I got that info from the American Idol website. She apparantly also has a Christmas CD coming out & she is actually already working on a 3rd CD which is suppost to be completed & released sometime early next year. From what I understood, her first CD has a Tina Turner/Aretha Franklin, with a slight bit of rock kind of sound to it. If that is true, it should do very well. I think it will be awesome! My favorite Melinda performances last season was the Bon Jovi week(Have A Nice Day). She was rockin in that one!
