Rob and I rarely watched regular/local TV channels. We'd usually surf the cable channels for good movies or shows on HGTV/Food Network. But with American Idol, Super Nanny, Extreme Makeover, Extreme Makeover Home Edition, Wife Swap... etc., now all we watch are local TV channels. And when you add "24", House and Desparate Housewives, I'd say we watch local channels about 80% of the time. I never thought I'd go back to watching local channels after having cable.

I'd say that FOX (Channel 11) is the most watched channel in this house. I start my morning watching the news on FOX. Then, of course, there's American Idol, House and "24".

Cable? What's cable????

Well it sounds like we watch similar T.V., however, I have always had an affinity to documentaries, can not miss the likes of "Dateline, 60 minutes, Primetive Live, 20/20 , nightline etc.OR------ "Frontline", on P.B.S. which has been around for many years, and as far as news documentary programmes are concerned, is not surpassed, in it's style or content.

I have a very hard time missing those shows or ones like them

I do not watch Nanny, Desparate, I have heard about, and it sounds good, or makeover, but------Monday night--- I "am obsessed"------ "24", and IDOL must not be missed., or Tomorrow might not come. !!!!

I DO like "Wife Swap".

I am more of a channel 5, KTLA morning person. That Jillian girl on 11 just bothers the heck outta me.

Yes I agree. But Jillian get's me up in the morning by annoying me. She has to be on speed or something to be so... annoying!

She annoys me too. Seems to think she is Miss Hottie in L.A.

I guess Terry Bradshaw would disagree with me

I don't care for her "fashion sense" either. Looks like she is trying to dress like a 14-year-old.
