Who will be our next American Idol? Will it be Bo Bice or Carrie Underwood? Me? I don't really care who wins. I'm leaning towards Bo a little, but I wouldn't be unhappy if Carrie won. They are both very talented, and they can definitely sing.

I was sad to see Vonzell go. She too is very talented. I'm sure she'll get a record contract. Can you imagine how fantastic she would sound produced? I mean, she sounds fantastic live!

I'm dreading the end of American Idol. Will they have another season? I know I'll go through withdrawals.

Personally, I think Vonzell was robbed... she deserved to go on based upon Chain of Fools, alone.

I agree, she (Vonzell), deserved to go on, However the "fellow" called BO is far and away the best, even though the male vote would go to the
"Country Girl"., she has lovely teeth.

There's just one American Idol left.
Though everything is just for fun now. Both Bo and Carrie will have huge careers.
Carrie will live off her red-state country sales, while Bo will carry the rest of the mainstream.

While I hate to truly bring politics into this, it truly is a red-state, blue-state situation. In the same sense I can't fathom how someone can think George W has been good for our country, I can't fathom how someone could watch last week's show and think Carrie is a better talent than Bo.

But to each their own.

Just have to have watched last night's show. Admittedly, Bo had food poisoning the day before (allegedly).

Both were off last night... but Carrie's performance of that last song was stunning. She should win, hands down.

I was stunned the judges liked it so much, but to each his own I guess..... I just have never been a Carrie fan. She has an incredible voice but the perfomance ability of C3PO. She's easy for camerapeople since she never moves.
Bo is just more the complete package.
But fact is, like Ruben and Clay, Carrie and Bo are both locks for multi-platinum careers after this, though I think Carrie's fans will be a little narrower than Bo's.

Prediction:
Carrie, while topping the country charts, will fail to latch on to a mainstream audience and be the least successful Idol ever. Think about it.... do you think a Carrie country tune will be played on MTV or the pop stations?

2nd Prediction:
Bo will outsell Carrie by a mile.

Both will have very good contracts and make a good name for themselfs. Carry will do well in the country realm, probably just as good a Bo in the rock realm.

Can you say Faith Hill... LeAnn Rimes... Martina McBride? I have seen all of them on MTV.

I think you are way off here. Think about it. How popular is Bo's style in today's music scene? Do you think Lynard Skynard type bands and singers have the potential to make a lot of money?

Bo is good, no doubt... but he is "old skool" rock and roll good... and this doesn't sell in today's market. I am not sure that Bo is good enough to change that.

I believe that Carrie will be the biggest selling idol of all... and that includes Kelly Clarkson. This is saying a lot coming from me because I don't think I will buy a record from Carrie... but Marie and I have both of Kelly's (both are excellent, by the way).

Well, my prediction is already coming to pass if you believe pre-sales of both Bo and Carrie's upcoming singles....

ce_single_.html

Bo will be the big mainstream star out of this Idol, not Carrie....

We're talking long term, right?

Ruben Studdard's first album sold 417,000. His second? 97,000.

These are likely to be Bo's numbers if he doesn't find a band. As a solo act, he is doomed.

well you were wrong....Carrie outsold Bo. Never trust pre-sales and never trust your predictions.
