Marie posting a baseball related story? That's the real news here. Good for you Marie!

My sentiments exactly... but this did involve a piece of bat IMPALING a dude. Marie likes the sick stuff.

It might also have something to do with the fact that Marie wouldn't mind if this happened to the entire Major Leagues so she could watch shows SHE wants to see on our big screen.

I bet you guys don't remember when Steve Yeager of the Dodgers got hit in the neck by a slice of broken bat in San Diego? He was in the on deck circle and it just missed one of his arteries by about an inch.

I remember when Al Hrabosky was pitching in Candlestick for the Braves and someone threw a paper airplane from the upper deck that landed on the pitcher's mound. Hrabosky stepped off of the mound and gawked at the airplane and then looked up at the upper deck and applauded the throw.

LOL! Hrabosky was a piece of work. I used to love watching that guy pitch. The Mad Hungarian!!!

I remember once at Dodger Staium my cousin and I were watching a game, I think we were about 9 or 10 years old) and my cousin decided to show me his expert paper airplane design. Well, it flew down on the field and landed between the mound and home plate! I was sure we were going to get kicked out!

I actually was watching that game on TV when it happened... gruesome stuff. I remember it was all the talk amongst my little neighborhood "crew" (it was baseball season in the streets of our neighborhood).

We all wanted a Yeager throat protector after this happened (catcher was my primary position in little league).
