Baseballgeeks website

It appears I pissed somebody off who logged in as a guest on the baseballgeeks website. He must have read my Yankee hater post. Rob, I apologize for that. I think it's kind of funny though! I loved your reply after he called your created website a piece of s#!t.

If you wan't to remove that post under the Yankees section to keep the door open for Yankee fans, I'll understand. However, it's a freedom of speech & expression right?

The only reason there has been relatively bad news about the Yankees on the bgeeks website is because the Yankees are nothing but bad news this year.

All this guy would have to do is enter a news link that is positive about the Yanks... but, you know what? There aren't any! And, what makes this more amazing is that the Yanks bed-buddies (ESPN) have fewer things to talk about.

You are exactly right about ESPN, by the way.

The other day, when the Yanks and Mets had an off day, an ESPN Newscaster actually said: "Even though the Yanks and Mets had an off day, we still had baseball."

Baseballgeeks is for opinions. You have yours... let someone else express their love for the Yanks (which I would be more impressed with when they are stinking... like now).

I'm glad you have noticed how ESPN stays up the Yankees' butt so much. It seems to be rather obvious. ESPN can't stand the fact that the Yankees just haven't been up to par this season so far. Unfortunately, it all comes down to ratings. ESPN wants everyone to watch Sportscenter & I think they believe that if the Yankees aren't winning, no one will watch or care. I think ESPN & a lot of the main stream media is just more out of touch with the way a lot of baseball fans truly feel about the Yankees. I sometimes get the impression that they think everyone likes the Yankees because they are the Yankees, the most indentifiable team in sports really. I'm sure there are a lot of Yankee fans out there, but there are also a lot of people that despise them. If ESPN was smart, they would or should cater to both audiences when they talk about the Yankees.(meaning the fans that love the Yanks & hate the Yanks). That way, they could draw more viewership from all over the country.

Yeah... seeing fewer Yankee hats this year around here.
Now that they aren't the front runners, who will these frontrunners follow?

Oh, wait.... could it be... the ORIOLES?

Yes the Pirates are doing ok for a change, it's nice to see. And they did beat the Orioles 2 out of 3!
