Pujols

Albert Pujols is such a class act and perhaps my favorite player in the game. I was reading tonight about the line drive he hit that broke SD pithcer Chris Young's nose. Pujols was shaken and bothered by the incident....in a strange coincidence a few plays later he was coming around to score in a bang bang play and slid into the catcher vying for home. The catcher, Bard, suffered a sprained ankle and had to leave the game too. Pujols later came out of the game because he was so distracted by what had happened particularly Young's injury.

Pujols always is the consumate professional. He seems like a great guy on and off the field.

That was one heckuvan awful play, but I was amazed that Pujols' main concern was for Chris Young. I agree that he is a class act, and it is a rare thing in the MLB when great player and class act can be used in the same sentence.
