I believe that today, I was caller number MINUS 166.

Does that mean that I have to read the messages backwards?

Scratching my head on this one... it usually happens when there is a high influx of folks coming into the board and the today's stats file resets itself.

And, interestingly enough, there has been a marked spike in the last two days... only, I can't determine where or to what. For instance, the number of guests today as I am typing this message is 247. This is higher than normal.

By afternoon, yesterday, it indicated over 600... again, higher than normal.

BUT, when I look at the hit count logs from site meter, it only shows 69 different IP addresses today... much lower than 247.

Something very strange is going on... I don't know what.
