Guest posting was recently turned back on and now there are a bunch of "Deleted Messages" all over. Was that spam getting through again?

You need a better way to handle deleted posts. They should not be displayed, either on the list available messages, or when clicking "Next" to go to the next message. Especially when clicking "Next"... That should take you to the next viewable post, so we don't have to keep clicking "Next" over and over through a series of non-messages!

Um, I have to admit, when I joined it took me forever and a lot of tries to get images to post. The directions on doing so are very unfriendly. I'd post, and just get the image source info and not the image on the screen, and the preview mode didn't do squat... so I'm guilty of about 8 such deletion, sorry! Now, if I can remember exactly which url to include, and what to delete from it to post more images... (my photobucket acct gives 3 different sets of url type listings and only one works here, but with certain things taken out).

And why can't a delete be a clean delete? Like a ghost slipping by in the night?

This has been mentioned before too, but Rob just doesn't want to do that.

BTW, you don't have to delete your posts if you get it wrong. You can go back in and edit them. Look at the blue links on the panel to the right of the posts. When you're looking at one of your own, there will be a link there that says something like "Edit Message".
