I am able to get on n ow, but I still get the server error message after I click on the log in button. At least now I can click my back button and go to the message areas and still be logged on, but something may still be wrong somewhere and I think it may delete me once again.

Try clicking the refresh button instead of going back and clicking another link. I've been getting server error messages randomly here for at least a year now. Refreshing the page always seems to work, so far...

It's most frustrating when I get the error while trying to submit a post, get the error, refresh, then find out it got posted twice! So, I have to delete one of the duplicates.

And that reminds me of another problem... When that does happen, delete the first post. NOT THE SECOND ONE. If you delete the second, and it's the last one in the message base, we get that phantom "there's a new message here" link that won't go away until someone else comes along and posts another message there.

Hi, Lon,

That's a good tip. I'll give that a try.

Thanks,

-Larry

for whatever reason, the "today stat" file is getting reset, which is causing the login problem... I will have to reconfigure that whole system, but I have no clue why it is happening now... other than maybe it is a server being too slow issue?

it seems ok now, but i just made up a quick today stat file mockup
