I have received an upgrade on the service that hosts RRBBS, which allows RRBBS to have "subdomains."
So, rather than have these UGLY blog URLS (i.e., www.rrbbs.com/cgi-bin/bbs/userblogs.pl?1), you can now have your blog point to yourname.rrbbs.com.
I have taken the liberty to point Mr. Canty's blog to: thomascanty.rrbbs.com. If you would like an alternative, Lon, let me know.
If anybody else here would like their blog to point to a yourname.rrbbs.com of your choice, let me know here...
Additionally, I think this will help to solve the "uploading images" problem.
Here's my latest idea...
I will be selling web space on the server as a "Premium Service." I'm thinking 2 Megs of space for uploading images for $25/year, with the ability to design your blog as you see fit (like www.adoptblog.com).
Basically, for those of you without your own servers (like Lonnie and Bill), you would have "FTP" access to your own, private part of this server, and you could upload photos for use on RRBBS and your own RRBBS blog.
A second, "Premium" service would be like the above... only pointing to your own domain name... for $65/year.
A third, "Premium" service would be where you would have your own domain name, 5000 megs of space, 100 GBs of bandwidth, and the ability to write your own cgi scripts, etc. for about $120/year (includes domain registration fee for a year).
Would any of you use any of these services?
By the way, Booga, since having boogaman.com online here to help me bug fix, etc., you are exempt from the above $65/year fee. As long as you pay for your annual domain registration to that provider I set you up with last year, you have a place to park boogaman.com.
