The Faith Healer
Posted by: Thomas Canty

Bubba went to the big tent meeting and listened to the preacher. After a while, the preacher asked anyone with needs to come forward and be prayed over. Bubba got in line. When it was his turn, the preacher said, "Bubba, what you want me to pray about?" Bubba said, "Preacher, I need you to pray for my hearing. "

So the Preacher put one finger in Bubba's ear, and the other hand on top of his head, and prayed a while. After a few minutes, he removed his hands and said, "Bubba, how's your hearing now?"

Bubba said, "I don't know preacher, it's not 'til next Wednesday in Baton Rouge."

Female Circumcision?
Posted by: Marie Reed

This seems to be a growing issue in England. It's an African and Middle Eastern tradition/ritual. Ouch!

Exactly... I'll keep my faith, and I'll TRY to put in a good word for you. You're basically saying for people to leave you alone and let you believe in what you want believe in. I, like you, don't like to be preached to. So, please, stop preaching.

Drink lots of Green Tea!
Posted by: Marie Reed

Did you know that green tea contains powerful antioxidants that can help with the following?

To sum up, here are just a few medical conditions in which drinking green tea is reputed to be helpful:

cancer
rheumatoid arthritis
high cholesterol levels
cariovascular disease
infection
impaired immune function

I've also read that green tea can help with losing weight and can help prevent tooth decay.

So, drink up, folks! I drink approximately 2-3 cups of green tea a day. It's good stuff! :)

Father's Day
Posted by: Randy Edwards

I did what every new dad should have done. I spent the entire day with Jake and my dad. Kelly got me a card and in it she had took Jake's hand and drawn an outline of it with lines going to a baseball.

I read it twice and the tears started flowing and wouldn't stop. What a great feeling.

Mom Indicted for Hiring Stripper for Son
Posted by: Marie Reed

It was a 16th birthday gift from a mother who wanted to do something special for her son. The mother probably wanted to do something to embarrass her son and his friends. In my opinion, since there was parental guidance and the mother was there taking pictures, I think it was harmless.

In high school, a girlfriend of mine was given a surprise 16th birthday party at her house, and I wondered why there were only girls who were invited. After surprising the birthday girl and about an hour into the party, there was a knock at the door. It was a GORGEOUS police officer who said that there was a report of loud noises and disturbance by...   (more)
